New updates include jailbreakd, pspawn_payload, and amfid_payload with systemwide setuid (mostly). Note to developers: ensure you chmod your tool before compiling or packaging. If not, include a postinst in your deb package for chmod.

Apps and tools tested for setuid permissions:

  • Crackerxi (working)
  • Vnodebypass (working after manual chmod)
  • A-bypass (installed, unverified)

For file management, Filza is buggy; it’s recommended to use Mterminal or SSH for these tasks.

  • Optional choice of tweak injector or saurik’s substrate upon initial jailbreak installation.
    • This choice is irrevocable once made.
    • Tweak injector is the default choice for testing random reboot issues.
    • To use Substrate (saurik’s version), select it in settings before installing Cydia.
  • Checks for substrate installation and displays the selected injector in the settings page when jailbroken.
  • Removed log writing to prevent possible file exhaustion and random reboots.
