XeniOS
XeniOS IPA – Xbox 360 Emulator for iPhone, iPad, and Mac
XeniOS is a new Xbox 360 emulator designed for Apple devices. It allows users to run Xbox 360 games on iPhone, iPad, and Mac using the powerful Xenia emulator framework.

This project aims to bring Xbox 360 emulation to the Apple ecosystem, but it is still in early alpha development. Because of this, compatibility is limited and performance can vary depending on your device and the game you try to run.
To use XeniOS on iPhone or iPad, you will need to sideload the IPA file and enable JIT (Just-In-Time compilation). Without JIT, the emulator can install successfully but games will not start.
What is XeniOS?
XeniOS is an Apple-focused port of the popular Xenia Xbox 360 emulator. The goal of the project is to make Xbox 360 games playable on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS devices.
The project was introduced by a developer known as u/AirportIntelligent23 in the emulation community. The emulator is based on the original Xenia project but modified to run efficiently on Apple hardware.
To improve performance, the developer implemented:
- A custom Metal-based renderer
- Native support for Apple Silicon and ARM64 architecture
- Better communication with Apple A-series and M-series chips
These changes help reduce performance overhead and allow the emulator to run better on Apple devices.

How to Install XeniOS on iPhone and iPad
This guide explains how to install XeniOS IPA on iPhone and iPad and set it up properly to run Xbox 360 games. Because XeniOS is still in early alpha, you must install the app using sideloading tools and enable JIT (Just-In-Time compilation) for games to work.
Follow the steps below to install and configure XeniOS on your device.
Step 1: Install XeniOS IPA
The recommended method to install XeniOS is SideStore, which allows you to sideload apps on iOS devices.
Installation steps
01. Install SideStore on your iPhone or iPad.
02. Download the latest XeniOS IPA file from the official release page.
03. Open the IPA file using SideStore to begin the installation.
04. After installation, go to:
05. Settings → General → VPN & Device Management
Trust the developer certificate to allow the app to run.
Important Note
Some users have successfully installed XeniOS using LiveContainer on iOS 18. However, it has not been fully tested on iOS 26, so if you try this method, do it at your own risk.
Also, avoid upgrading to iOS or iPadOS 26.4 beta for now. Compatibility with this version has not been confirmed, and it may break JIT functionality, which is required to run games.
Step 2: Enable JIT (Required to Run Games)
To run Xbox 360 games, JIT must be enabled. Without JIT, the emulator may open, but games will not start.
How to enable JIT
- Install StikDebug on your device.
- Depending on your iOS version, you may also need LocalDevVPN.
- Open StikDebug and assign one of these scripts to XeniOS:
- Amethyst-MeloNX.js
- universal.js
- Follow the latest SideStore JIT setup guide to complete the configuration.
Simple explanation
JIT allows XeniOS to run Xbox 360 game code. Without it, the emulator cannot execute games.
How to Install XeniOS on Mac
XeniOS is also available for macOS, supporting both Intel Macs and Apple Silicon Macs.
Installation steps
- Download the latest XeniOS macOS build from the release page.
Choose the correct version:
- Apple Silicon for M-series Macs (M1, M2, M3, etc.)
- Intel for Intel-based Macs
- Drag the XeniOS app into the Applications folder.
- If macOS blocks the app on the first launch:
Go to
System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway
- Add your legally dumped Xbox 360 game files.
- Launch XeniOS and start testing Xbox 360 emulation.
⚠️ Important:
XeniOS is still alpha software, so you may experience crashes, performance issues, or games that do not run properly.
